Deal Memorial Bandstand Concert
Information: Traditionally the Betteshanger Band open and close the summer season concerts at the Bandstand.
The Deal Memorial Bandstand Trust stages a series of ‘free’ public concerts on the Bandstand between May and September each year.
The aim of the concerts is to keep alive the memory of the 11 Royal Marines Musicians who were killed by the bomb. The Deal Memorial Bandstand is seen as a ‘living’ Royal Marines Memorial to those who died.
Eleven sides of the twelve-sided Bandstand structure have engraved tablets bearing the names of those who lost their lives.

The Kent Mining Museum – Music at the museum 2024
Information: Kent Mining Museum are proud to present a series of musical concerts featuring the very best local ensembles. Guests are invited to take an after-hours stroll around the museum before settling down in the spacious function suite for an evening of music. Other Musical lineups include Invicta Concert Band, YMS Steel Band, Snowdown Male Voice Choir plus other special guests.
Tickets cost £10* in advance (£14 on the door) and are available to purchase online from the museum. The concerts will help to raise funds for The Kent Mining Museum Charity.

Deal Music & Arts Festival – 14th July 2024
Information: Concluding the Deal Music Festival, Betteshanger Band are pleased to join forces with The Deal & Walmer Handelian Choral Society for a sensational afternoon of entertainment.
Deal Music & Arts has brought the best in the arts to East Kent for over 40 years. They have welcomed great musicians, fine actors and distinguished writers to Deal, Walmer, Sandwich and Dover.

Broadstairs Bandstand Concert – Victoria Parade
Information: Weekend Entertainment brought to you by Broadstairs & St Peter’s Town Council. Events run DAILY throughout the year from 29th March through to the 30th September

NATIONAL BRASS BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS OF GREAT BRITAIN
Information: Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band came home with the London & Southern Counties 4th Section Regional Champions Title, qualifying for an invitation to the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and promotion to the 3rd Section. A WIN at Cheltenham would be the absolute icing on the cake!

Remembrance Service & Parade
Information: Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade Dover War Memorial. At 11.00 a.m. on Remembrance Sunday Dover men, women and children will gather at the People of Dover’s War Memorial to honor the memory of all the service men and women who gave their lives in armed conflicts past and present.

New Romney Town Council’s Annual Christmas Concert
Information: A varied Christmas programme to suit all ages and tastes, interspersed with two carols in each set – one of which has traditionally become a fun version of the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ (a special ‘New Romney’ version penned by their previous Town Mayor).

Betteshanger Sports & Social Club – Annual Christmas Concert
Information: Part of the Bettes Bar series of Friday events and entertainment, Betteshanger Band will perform their Annual Christmas Concert and will be sure to keep all the regulars and supporters entertained. You don’t have to be a member to attend, just pop along for a listen. The concert with feature all the ususal Christmas favourites and lots more.
