World Champions!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of our very own Helen Rose (Kit Player) of Betteshanger Colliery Band!
Helen has just been part of the England Over 45 Women’s Indoor Hockey team, which has been crowned World Cup Champions for 2026 in Nottingham.
The team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten in the pool stages and progressing confidently to the final. Facing tournament favourites and reigning champions Germany, England showed incredible determination, skill, and resilience.
In a thrilling and closely contested final, England secured a dramatic 5–4 victory, lifting the World Cup trophy in style! 
This is a truly remarkable achievement and a testament to the team’s hard work, spirit, and excellence.
