At 11.00 a.m. on Sunday 15 November 2023, 105 years on from the signing of the Armistice in 1918, Dover will remember all the servicemen and women who have given their lives in the service of their country.
Betteshanger Colliery Band and Cantium Brass feel privileged to receive the annual invitation to provide accompanying music for the service in memory of all those who lost their lives serving our country.
A parade of standards, veterans and other organisations will assemble outside the B&M Store in Biggin Street at 10.30am and march to the War Memorial in front of Maison Dieu House where two minutes silence will be observed at 11.00am. The Memorial Service will take place and will be followed by the laying of wreaths. The parade will then march back through the town to the Market Square. The Right Worshipful Town Mayor of Dover will take the salute at St. Mary’s Church.
Service sheets will be available to members of the public at the service and are also available for download from the Town Council’s website.
Priory Road will be closed temporarily from the roundabout to the Ladywell traffic lights while the service is in progress.
