
Students from Albert Camus School, France joined us on the 3rd of April for their annual visit to learn about mining in the Kent area.

The band treated the students to a selection of brass music and answered questions, on the subject of mining and brass bands, between pieces.

Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band, based in Deal, Kent, was formed in 1932 to give miners a means of relaxation after a long day's work. Recently crowned “National Brass Band Champions of Great Britain (Section 4) and secured a sponsorship deal with Eclipse Instruments.
